Your bedroom should be the most relaxing room in your house! The average person spends around 8 hours a night sleeping. 8 hours per day, times 7 days a week, times 52 weeks a year equals..... a lot of hours sleeping!
If you have difficulty sleeping, or simply need to re-do your bedroom, we have plenty of ideas that may help make your bedroom the room of your dreams.
First thing's first - you need to pick the perfect lighting. Something soft as to not be so harsh in the evening and bed-time. If overhead lighting is a must, a chandelier with a dimmer is a great way to go. However, we prefer the use of table lamps or floor lamps.

Whether you're starting from scratch in a new kitchen, or just deciding to switch it up - you'll need to cover the three lighting types. General, which provides basic light for the room; Task lighting, which highlights a specific work area; and Accent lighting, which can create a focal point in the room.
The location of counters and cabinets in the layout of the room is important when deciding placement of the fixtures.
Under cabinet lighting is a perfect type of task lighting while you're prepping your meals, or doing the dishes (Depending on where your cabinets are). Pendants over an island or peninsula is a great type of accent lighting - this can also blend into task lighting as well if you do cooking prep on this area as well!
If your dining room table is also in your kitchen, a chandelier or other large hanging fixture works as an accent light as well!
Overall, all types of lighting should be layered within a space to create a warm and inviting atmosphere while also being practical.

While incredible food and top-notch customer service are crucial for a successful restaurant, the ambience of the space and the design choices in the room are also important. The design of the restaurant sets the stage for the diner's experience.
Some important factors to consider when designing your restaurant:
Balancing seating capacity: you should find the balance between enough seating and maximum seating capacity with a welcoming ambiance. You want enough seats in the room while still maintaining a comfortable atmosphere.
Music: silence can be really awkward in restaurants. Music sets the tone for the restaurant as much as the visual interior does. Music also reflects the style of your restaurant. A great option is to offer live music on the weekends - if you have the room for it!
Heating/Cooling: the kitchen adds a lot of heat and smells into the restaurant. You need to ensure balance by making heating and ventilation a priority. It is an expensive consideration, but is essential and necessary in all restaurants.
Restrooms: an obvious one. Restrooms need to be in your restaurant. You will need to ensure that they are properly taken care of throughout the day and night.
